Curt Drennen

Dr. Curt Drennen, Psy.D., R.N., is a licensed psychologist in private practice and consultation with 25 years of experience in disaster mental health and emergency management with the state of Colorado.

Dr Drennen retired from the Colorado Office of Emergency Preparedness and Response as the Operations and Response Branch Manager in July of 2026. He has lead the development of Colorado's disaster behavioral health system and responded to dozens of events including natural disasters, public health crisis and events of community violence.

Curt maintains a clinical practice, consultation, speaking/training events and teaches at the University of Denver’s International Disaster Psychology program.

Curt received his PsyD from the University of Denver in 2001, his BS in Nursing (University of Kansas, 1992) and his BS in Psychology, Chemical Science and PreMedicine (K- State University, 1989). In 2020, Curt became a CO Certified Emergency Manager.
